An interpretation of Chris Salomone’s modern credenza

For my birthday, my wife gave time away from the kids to spend at the communal shop and build something. I really enjoyed the design that Chris Salomone had in his youtube channel. However, it was slightly too big for my needs so I modified it quite a bit. Here’s a montage of the build with some explanations here and there.

Since I’m working on this piece in two locations spread over few moths, I had not decided, researched or bought the runners. I wanted to make sure the installation of the runners would be easy, so instead of gluing the dividers in place, I slotted them so that I could “slide” them in later. The idea was to install the runners and then push in the dividers.

I didn’t have strap clamps(?) so I was told to use these interesting contraptions, where sandpaper wsa glued to a piece of plywood and a triangle of sorts allowed the clamp to squeeze the joint in exactly the right direction.
